Cecilia’s Room Inspiration: Forest Friends

Remember when I said that I wanted to decorate Cecilia’s room in vintage carnival decor? Well, I have finally accepted the fact that maybe I went a little too far with the owl theme last year, and we are so deep into owls right now that there is no possible way I can abandon it at this point. She will either grow up hating or loving owls, and with my luck, she will have a deep-seeded fear, and we all know who the finger will be pointed at.

Luckily, I have another room that I can start over fresh in, so guess who is getting the carnival theme! Luckily, it’s something that can work with either boys or girls. So, Cecilia’s room will now be “forest friends” and luckily for me, it has been super played out so there is all sorts of stuff I can choose from!

Her walls are pretty much bare at this point. I have a lot of cute stuff I got for her room at her baby shower, and I even have a personalized tree with notes from all of our family and friends that is neatly secured in one of those photo tubes and is serving zero purpose at all. So, I’m going to work on putting up all the stuff we have and adding some new prints to it.

I love this stencil kit from My Wonderful Walls, mostly because I can choose what i want and don’t want to put up, and I can use the colors I want. This would be really fun to cover one wall in. You can get it personalized (like above) or not, and you can choose the paint kit or not. I love the DIY aspect, and how much you can make it your own. There are a lot of different themes on there, and I think they’re pretty reasonably priced.

Then, you can choose four individual 11×14 prints on Wallfry for $69 that you can customize with whatever colors you fancy from her color chart! Of course, if I go this route, the owl will definitely be one of the four, and there is also a cute bunny, a fox and a squirrel! She has a lot of good stuff in her shop, and all of it is geared towards the little ones.

What do your kids’ rooms look like? Is there a theme or is it all a happy mix? Share in the comments and connect with me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google + and Pinterest! I’ll be sharing more room updates as we go along, I can’t wait to see how it all turns out!
