Mondays are turning into one of my favorite days of the week. Crazy, I know. But I see it as a new week unfolding – a new time to make goals and see if I can actually stick to them. The beginning of something new. Perhaps I will start a new craft this week, maybe I’ll find a yoga routine I like – whatever it is, it all starts on Monday. I also write about one of my favorite things on Mondays – the Weekly Wishes link-up through The Nectar Collective! This is a time for me to collect my thoughts, reflect on the past week and really get down to the nitty gritty of what I want to accomplish this week.
Last Week’s Wishes: Start working on my logo design for Baby Burrito Collective, start working on my three tiered basket and my chalk/cork board, get a fitness routine going, and clear out my garden.
How I did: I did start working on my logo design last week, I made a design inspiration sheet full of colors, designs and fonts I want to use for my design. I wasn’t able to work on my crafts last week as I need to go to the hardware store to get rust removal stuff and wood for my frame. Hoping to do that this weekend. I also need to decide what winter crops I want to start so I can replace what’s in my garden now. Needless to say, I also didn’t get my garden done last week. I did start doing yoga again, though! I tried to do a more fitness-centric yoga session though, and I’m pretty sure I threw out my back…so I need to remember to take it slow!
This week’s wishes:
Business: Use the design inspiration sheet to start my logo design. Since I don’t have the money to invest in a logo design that someone else created, I’m doing it DIY-style, which works out because I’m going to school for graphic design. When I look at my logo, I will know that it was all done by me, and that is such an amazing feeling. I have already learned so much from just taking one semester of graphic design, and looking up tutorials on YouTube and Google. You can find more about my Creative Business Journey here.
Creative: Get to the hardware store so I can get the rust removal solution and wood for my frame and I can get to work. I was going to make my own rust removal solution, but I don’t really want to make it around my baby, and there’s hardly a time when I’m not around her. Maybe when she’s older and is going to school, I can start making all my own household cleaners from scratch, but that’s not going to work right now. I also want to start working on my Christmas gifts since the majority will be handmade, and they all incorporate crafts I want to learn and/or practice more.
Fitness: Keep my yoga routine going. Try to get in a daily 15 minute bodyweight workout (it sounds easier than it is) and continue eating healthy, whole food. You can find out more about my healthy life journey here.
Home: Get some winter plants from the hardware store, and move out my old plants and put in the new ones. Clean up the garden area and start canning like crazy! Check out my garden project here.
What are your weekly wishes? Write about them and link up to the Nectar Collective. You can also share them in the comments and connect with me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Here’s to having another lovely and productive week!
